The FOV software does
not require installation; simply extract the
downloaded zip archive into a directory dedicated to the program
(permissions
must be appropriate). All contents of the
archive should be extracted into the directory. For updating, the procedure is the same; to avoid losing settings or downloaded photos, use the same directory for the program and overwrite the existing files. You must exit from the program before updating. Important Disclaimer This software is provided as-is,

What is it? Field Of View (FOV) is an
application written in Embarcadero Delphi by Fabrizio Tozzi for
64-bit
Windows-based systems. The objective of this software is
to assist the amateur astronomer in choosing a device based on CCD/CMOS
available on the market. It is possible to evaluate the
performance of the sensor in relation to the optics (focal lengths)
available.
The analysis is provided both with numerical parameters and in terms of
the
field of view framed, with direct feedback on sample images. Deep Sky sample objects are available through images granted for use by colleagues or through survey shots. Planetary objects, on the other hand, can be used as reference via systems managed by organizations affiliated with NASA and/or esa. FOV can also be helpful to the
astrophotographer for planning shots, allowing them to visualize in
advance the
field of view based on the available combinations of optics and sensors. Support, Advice & Suggestions. Email: fov(at)oagm.it |
